The artist of this circle is Kouki Yaka. Unfortunately, I have no prior knowledge or experience with this circle. Kansen is the first doujinshi I've seen by them, but the art was rather my thing, very minimalist and whimsical. It reminds me strongly of the line drawings that were commonplace in old fairy-tale illustrations. I'm rather a fan of those drawings, so although it wasn't completely similar, Kouki-san's art was too good to pass up. :)

Title : Kansen (Infection) Published : 28/Dec/2002 Size : B5 Comments : This is a serious story, following Legolas immediately after the death of Gandalf to the death of Boromir. The reactions of the others to the tragedy of Moria is grief, but he seems to be seperate from them. He and Boromir talk about death for elves and humans, and the other races, and how elves are different from all the rest in death. It ends where Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli are fighting and hear the sound of Boromir's horn. It has a very melancholy atmosphere, which is helped a great deal by the art style and layout. [36 pgs]
